Terms of service
Last updated: 12 August 2026
OVERVIEW
Welcome to Yukon Cosmetics. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, online store, products and related services (together, the "Services"). The Services are operated by Yukon Cosmetics Ltd ("Yukon Cosmetics", "we", "us" or "our"). Our online store is powered by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that enables us to offer our products and Services to you. Please read these Terms carefully before using our website or placing an order. These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Returns & Refunds Policy and Shipping Policy. Nothing in these Terms affects any rights that you have under applicable consumer law.
SECTION 1 - ABOUT US
Yukon Cosmetics Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales.
Company name: Yukon Cosmetics Ltd
Company number: 16787840
Registered office: 124 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX
Email: info@yukon-cosmetics.com
When you purchase a product through our website, your contract is with Yukon Cosmetics Ltd.
SECTION 2 - USING OUR WEBSITE AND CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS
You may browse our website and purchase products without creating a customer account where guest checkout is available.
If you create or use a customer account, you are responsible for:
-
providing accurate and current information;
-
keeping your login details secure; and
-
notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
You must not provide false or misleading information when placing an order or creating an account. If you are under 18, you should only place an order with the involvement of a parent or guardian where required by applicable law. We may suspend or restrict an account where reasonably necessary because of suspected fraud, misuse, security concerns or a breach of these Terms.
SECTION 3 - OUR PRODUCTS
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, shade information and other information displayed on our website are accurate. However, the way colours and products appear on your screen can vary depending on your device, display settings, lighting and other factors. For products such as hair fibres, shade appearance and the final cosmetic result may also vary depending on factors including your natural hair colour, hair density, application method and lighting. Product images are therefore provided as a useful representation of the product but may not reproduce colour with complete accuracy on every device. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights. Products supplied to consumers must meet the requirements imposed by applicable law, including requirements relating to satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and correspondence with their description. Product availability may change from time to time. We may discontinue products, shades or accessories without notice, but this will not affect orders that we have already accepted.
SECTION 4 - PRODUCT USE
Please use our products in accordance with:
-
the instructions supplied with the product;
-
information printed on the packaging; and
-
any warnings or directions displayed on our website.
Our website may contain general information about the appearance, application and use of cosmetic products. This information is provided for general informational purposes and should not be treated as medical advice or as a substitute for advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional. Individual results may vary. If you experience an unexpected reaction or other concern when using a product, stop using it and seek appropriate advice where necessary.
SECTION 5 - PLACING AN ORDER
When you submit an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products shown in your order. After you place your order, you will normally receive an order confirmation email acknowledging that we have received it. Receipt of an automated order acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that we have accepted your order. A contract for the purchase of products is formed when we accept your order, normally when the order is processed for dispatch and we confirm this to you. Payment may be authorised or taken before dispatch. If we are unable to accept an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the relevant amount using the original payment method. Please review your basket carefully before submitting your order.
You are responsible for ensuring that your:
-
selected products and shades;
-
quantities;
-
delivery address;
-
email address; and
-
other order information
are accurate before completing checkout.
SECTION 6 - WHEN WE MAY REFUSE OR CANCEL AN ORDER
We may refuse or cancel an order where we have a reasonable reason to do so, including where:
-
the product is unavailable;
-
payment cannot be authorised or processed;
-
we reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised payment activity;
-
there has been an obvious pricing or product-information error;
-
delivery cannot reasonably be made to the address provided;
-
applicable law prevents us from fulfilling the order;
-
an order exceeds reasonable purchase limits; or
-
we reasonably believe the order is being placed for unauthorised resale or distribution.
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled products. Nothing in this section allows us to cancel an order in a way that would unfairly remove your statutory rights.
SECTION 7 - BUSINESS PURCHASES AND RESALE
Businesses such as salons, barbers, retailers or other organisations may purchase products through our website. If you purchase products wholly or mainly for purposes connected with your trade, business, craft or profession, you are purchasing as a Business Customer rather than as a consumer. Some statutory rights that apply specifically to consumers, including certain cancellation rights, may not apply to Business Customers. A Business Customer may purchase products for its own legitimate business use unless otherwise stated. Purchasing our products for wholesale resale, redistribution, marketplace resale or onward commercial distribution requires our prior written agreement. For larger wholesale or distribution arrangements, separate commercial terms may apply.
SECTION 8 - PRICES
Prices displayed on our website are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) unless stated otherwise. The price charged will normally be the price displayed when you place your order. Prices include any taxes that we are legally required to include in the displayed price. Delivery charges are shown separately where applicable and will be displayed before you complete checkout. We may change prices at any time, but price changes will not affect orders that we have already accepted. Promotional prices, discount codes and offers may be subject to additional terms displayed with the relevant promotion.
SECTION 9 - PRICING ERRORS
We take reasonable care to ensure that prices displayed on our website are correct. If we discover an obvious pricing error before accepting or dispatching your order, we may contact you and give you the option to:
-
purchase the product at the correct price; or
-
cancel the affected item or order.
If we cannot reasonably contact you, we may cancel the affected order and refund any payment already taken. Nothing in this section affects any rights you may have under applicable law.
SECTION 10 - PAYMENT
Available payment methods will be displayed during checkout. Payments are processed using Shopify and/or the payment provider applicable to the payment method you select. You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided. You must provide accurate billing and payment information. We do not accept responsibility for delays or failures caused by your bank or payment provider where those matters are outside our reasonable control.
SECTION 11 - SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
Delivery options, prices and estimated delivery times are explained in our Shipping Policy and displayed during checkout where applicable. Delivery estimates are intended to help you understand when an order is expected to arrive. We will take reasonable steps to dispatch and deliver orders within the timeframe communicated to you. Unless a different delivery period has been agreed with you, goods will be delivered within the period required by applicable consumer law. Carrier delays, adverse weather, transport disruption and other events outside our reasonable control can occasionally affect delivery. Where a delay occurs, this does not remove any statutory rights you may have in relation to late or failed delivery.
SECTION 12 - RISK DURING DELIVERY
If you are purchasing as a consumer, responsibility for the goods remains with us until the goods are physically received by:
-
you; or
-
another person that you have identified to receive them on your behalf, other than the carrier.
The fact that we use Royal Mail, Evri, Yodel or another carrier does not by itself transfer the risk of loss to you. If tracking states that an order has been delivered but you have not received it, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so that we can investigate. For Business Customers, risk will pass on delivery unless separate written terms provide otherwise.
SECTION 13 - DELIVERY INFORMATION PROVIDED BY YOU
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. If you discover an error in your delivery details, please contact us as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to change an address after an order has entered the fulfilment or dispatch process. If a parcel is returned to us because the address supplied by you was materially incorrect or incomplete, we may ask you to pay a reasonable additional delivery charge before resending the order, where permitted by law. This does not apply where the delivery problem resulted from an error by us or our carrier.
SECTION 14 - CANCELLATIONS, RETURNS AND REFUNDS
Your cancellation, return and refund rights are explained in our Returns & Refunds Policy. Consumers purchasing online may have statutory rights to cancel certain purchases. Some products may be excluded from change-of-mind cancellation rights in circumstances permitted by law, including certain sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons after they have been unsealed. The specific conditions applying to Yukon Cosmetics hair-fibre products are explained in our Returns & Refunds Policy. Nothing in these Terms or our Returns & Refunds Policy affects your statutory rights where goods are faulty, damaged, unsafe, incorrectly supplied, not as described or otherwise fail to meet applicable legal requirements.
SECTION 15 - PROMOTIONS, DISCOUNTS AND FREE PRODUCTS
From time to time we may offer:
-
discount codes;
-
bundles;
-
multi-buy offers;
-
free products;
-
reduced prices; or
-
other promotions.
Additional conditions may apply to a promotion and will be displayed with the relevant offer where necessary.
Unless otherwise stated:
-
promotional offers cannot be exchanged for cash;
-
discount codes cannot be applied retrospectively after an order has been completed; and
-
we may prevent unreasonable or fraudulent use of promotional offers.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and specific promotional terms, the specific promotional terms will apply to that promotion. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
SECTION 16 - INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Our website and its contents may include trademarks, brand names, logos, product names, text, photographs, graphics, designs, videos, software and other material owned by or licensed to Yukon Cosmetics Ltd. These materials are protected by applicable copyright, trademark and other intellectual-property laws. You may use our website for your personal and lawful use.
Unless permitted by law or approved by us in writing, you must not:
-
reproduce substantial parts of our website;
-
copy or republish our product photography or written content;
-
use Yukon Cosmetics branding in a way that falsely suggests an association, approval or endorsement;
-
sell or commercially exploit our website content;
-
remove copyright, trademark or ownership notices; or
-
use our intellectual property in a misleading or unlawful manner.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
SECTION 17 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
Our website may contain links to, integrations with or functionality provided by third parties. This can include payment providers, social-media platforms, delivery providers, review services and other technology providers. Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party websites or services that we do not control. Nothing in this section excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
SECTION 18 - RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY
Our online store is powered by Shopify. Shopify provides the ecommerce infrastructure that enables us to operate our website and store. However, products purchased through our store are sold by Yukon Cosmetics Ltd. Your contract for the purchase of Yukon Cosmetics products is therefore with Yukon Cosmetics Ltd and not Shopify. Shopify may process personal information or provide payment, checkout and other services as explained in our Privacy Policy and Shopify's own applicable policies. Nothing in this section limits any rights that you may have directly against Shopify where applicable law provides such rights.
SECTION 19 - PRIVACY
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Our Privacy Policy explains:
-
what personal information we collect;
-
how and why we use it;
-
the lawful bases we rely upon;
-
how information may be shared;
-
international transfers;
-
retention;
-
cookies and similar technologies; and
-
your data-protection rights.
Shopify may also process certain personal information in connection with providing the ecommerce platform and related services.
SECTION 20 - REVIEWS, FEEDBACK AND USER CONTENT
If our Services allow you to submit a review, photograph, comment, suggestion or other content, the content you submit must be lawful and must not knowingly be false or misleading. Consumer reviews must reflect a genuine experience.
You must not submit:
-
fake reviews;
-
reviews purporting to describe an experience that did not occur;
-
deliberately misleading reviews;
-
content submitted using a false identity for the purpose of misleading customers; or
-
concealed incentivised reviews.
If you receive money, a free product, discount or another incentive in connection with content or a review, any disclosure required by law must be made clearly.
We may moderate, refuse to publish or remove content where reasonably necessary to:
-
comply with applicable law;
-
protect customers;
-
address fake or misleading reviews;
-
remove unlawful or abusive content;
-
protect intellectual-property or privacy rights; or
-
maintain the integrity of our Services.
Where you voluntarily provide content for publication, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and display that content for the reasonable purposes of operating, promoting and improving our Services, subject to applicable law and our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of rights that you hold in your content.
SECTION 21 - PROHIBITED USES
You must not use our website or Services:
-
for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;
-
to infringe intellectual-property rights;
-
to transmit malware or harmful code;
-
to interfere with the security or operation of our website;
-
to obtain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data;
-
to collect personal information unlawfully;
-
to impersonate another person or organisation;
-
to place fraudulent orders;
-
to publish knowingly false or misleading information;
-
to harass or threaten another person; or
-
in another manner that breaches applicable law.
You must not use automated systems, scraping tools or similar technologies to access our website in a way that materially interferes with the operation, security or legitimate use of the Services or infringes our rights.
SECTION 22 - WEBSITE AVAILABILITY
We aim to keep our website and online store available and operating correctly.
However, we cannot guarantee that the Services will always be:
-
uninterrupted;
-
free from technical errors;
-
available during maintenance;
-
compatible with every device or browser; or
-
unaffected by events outside our reasonable control.
We may temporarily suspend or modify parts of the website for maintenance, security, technical or operational reasons. This section relates to operation of the website and does not remove or reduce your statutory rights relating to products you purchase from us.
SECTION 23 - OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CONSUMERS
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
In particular, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:
-
death or personal injury caused by negligence where liability cannot lawfully be excluded;
-
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
-
your statutory consumer rights.
If you are a consumer and we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable where it is an obvious consequence of our breach or where both you and we knew that it might occur when the contract was made. We are not responsible to a consumer for losses arising solely from the use of products for commercial or business purposes where such losses were not reasonably contemplated as part of a consumer purchase. Nothing in this section affects rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
SECTION 24 - EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR REASONABLE CONTROL
We are not responsible for a failure or delay caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control where the law permits this. Such circumstances may include significant transport disruption, carrier disruption, extreme weather, natural disasters, widespread telecommunications failures, government action or other comparable events. If an event outside our reasonable control materially affects an accepted order, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect and communicate with you where appropriate. Your statutory rights, including rights relating to significantly delayed delivery, remain unaffected.
SECTION 25 - SUSPENSION OR TERMINATION OF WEBSITE ACCESS
We may suspend or restrict your access to an account or part of our Services where reasonably necessary because of:
-
fraud or suspected fraud;
-
security risks;
-
unlawful activity;
-
misuse of our website; or
-
a serious or repeated breach of these Terms.
Suspending website or account access does not remove rights or obligations relating to orders already accepted unless those orders are separately cancelled in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.
SECTION 26 - SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. The affected provision will apply only to the extent that it can lawfully and fairly be enforced.
SECTION 27 - NO WAIVER
If we do not immediately enforce a right under these Terms, this does not mean that we have waived that right. Similarly, if we allow additional time for you to meet an obligation, this does not prevent us from enforcing that obligation later where lawful.
SECTION 28 - TRANSFER OF OUR RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS
We may transfer our rights or obligations under these Terms to another organisation where reasonably necessary as part of a sale, restructuring or transfer of our business. We will not make a transfer that materially reduces your rights under an existing consumer contract. You may transfer your rights under these Terms where permitted by law.
SECTION 29 - GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms and contracts formed through our website are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you will continue to benefit from any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you in your place of residence. If you are a consumer resident in England or Wales, legal proceedings may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts applicable to your place of residence. Nothing in this section limits any mandatory rights concerning applicable law or jurisdiction that cannot legally be excluded.
SECTION 30 - CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect:
-
changes to our Services;
-
changes to our business;
-
legal or regulatory requirements;
-
security requirements; or
-
other reasonable operational changes.
The latest version will be published on our website with an updated "Last updated" date. Changes will normally apply to future use of the Services and future orders. Changes to these Terms will not retrospectively alter an order that we have already accepted unless:
-
the change is required by law;
-
the change does not materially disadvantage you; or
-
you expressly agree to the change.
